Client:

Global communications and media corporation

Business Issue:

With increased competitive pressures and highly dependent on their talented staff, this global organisation initiated a talent development programme to accelerate the development of their next generation of leaders. The organisation knew their employees made the difference with customers, and in order to retain their market position and grow, they needed to invest and fast-track the development of their high-potential leaders.

Core Programmes:

Développer son Adaptabilité (Building Relationship Versatility), Manager les Styles Sociaux en Conflit (Managing Styles In Conflict), Mieux se connaître pour mieux diriger (Leading from Within), Le Développement par le Leadership (Leading for Growth™), Se rendre à Oui (Getting to Yes), and Conduire des Entretiens Stratégiques (Conducting Strategic Business Calls)

Solution:

After a comprehensive needs analysis, a set of leadership competencies were identified. Wilson Learning then designed and implemented a five-day programme for this elite group of high potentials throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America. The programme addressed leadership competencies focused on improving communications, productivity, innovation and creativity, relationship building, strategic thinking, and talent management. The programme was designed using content from several programmes. Pre- and post-work, along with ongoing group-based coaching and mentoring, were integrated to ensure understanding and application of the newly acquired skills.

Results:

Participants attributed more than $17 million USD (€15.5M) in revenue to the skills learned in the programme. More than 70% of participants indicated improved interpersonal relationships with their staff and clients. 87% of participants reported improvement in key skill areas.
